Art Prints
Bookbinding is my passion, and printmaking is my obsession. I am constantly challenging the limits of detail that I can achieve by carving into linoleum. I pull each print one at a time on antique presses and print on archival paper using offset lithography inks and colorfast pigments.
Cornus florida (Flowering Dogwood)
Cornus florida (Flowering Dogwood)
What began as a series of US state flowers has evolved into a range of medicinal, regional, and decorative specimens. Each image is carved into linoleum and printed one at a time on an antique letterpress. Each print is then painted by hand using archival watercolors, signed, titled according to their genus and species, and numbered.
*Because these prints are individually colored by hand there may be some variation in the coloring.
